Vivo is getting ready to launch the X500 series on September 21, with cameras once again taking center stage. The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will use MediaTek’s new 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, bringing better performance, efficiency and image processing.
The X500 Pro Max is the model Vivo is pushing the hardest for photography. It comes with a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera and supports an optional 400mm telephoto extender, giving it much more reach for portraits, wildlife and distant subjects.
Vivo is also offering a dedicated photography grip and other camera accessories for the Pro Max. This is not Vivo’s first photography kit, since the company already offered a similar setup with the X300 Ultra, but the X500 Pro Max builds on that idea with newer hardware and the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
For now, the full 400mm lens and photography kit has only been confirmed for the X500 Pro Max. The regular X500 and X500 Pro still get the upgrades of the new generation, while the Pro Max gets Vivo’s most complete camera setup.
