Epomaker Sea Salt Silent is a silent linear mechanical switch from Epomaker released in March 2024 with a 45 gf operating force and 1.8 mm pre-travel, 3.5 mm total travel, and a manufacturer rating of At least 50 million keystrokes.
Three focused profiles from published switch specifications. No overall score is generated because feel and use case are personal.
Measures actuation, travel, and force. Shorter, lighter movement favors speed. Advanced input features add capability.
Measures bump or click intensity. It uses feel type and tactile-force rise. Higher scores mean stronger feedback.
Measures published lifespan evidence. It uses documented construction details. It does not predict real-world reliability.

Internal silicone bumpers in Epomaker Sea Salt Silent absorb downstroke impact energy to keep desktop sound down. Its standard 45gf operating force provides a familiar linear weight through 3.5mm of travel that prevents unintended accidental key presses. Typing tests register an extremely muted, cushioned thud that makes typing practically undetectable across open spaces. The tight mold fit of the housing prevents keycap rocking while retaining smooth stem travel along the slider tracks. When installed on an FR4 plate with case foam, this switch produces a reliable and whisper-quiet typing experience.
A three-axis view of compatible-keyboard input capability, tactile profile, and published durability evidence. Missing evidence remains unavailable rather than being scored as zero.
